Student Eligibility Criteria

  • Starting grades for eligibility

  • Needs this scholarship to cover; tuition, living expenses, books and other needs

  • Maximum scholarship cap

  • Choose the criteria used to award the scholarship

  • Resident of Banda (or should we consider Banda vicinity)

  • Grade (class) level that we are considering (i.e. Class 8+ or after high school)

  • Financial status (to ensure that it goes to financial needy only)

  • Merit dependent (consider both class grades and some sort of aptitude test)

  • Should we consider a short essay to ensure level of commitment from applicants

  • Should it be limited to a particular field of study (i.e. science and commerce)?

  • Limit to certain number of students (i.e. 10/20, etc.)

  • Additional considerations for girls and any others? Should we ensure that it goes across religion, cast, gender?

  • Means of funds disbursement

  • Directly to student’s bank account, in person, directly through schools, etc.?

  • Frequency (i.e. monthly, quarterly, etc.)

  • Transparency through independent audit or verification if funds are reaching to right place?
